Field of application
These terms and conditions are applied in case of booking and payment of accommodation (beds in dormitories or rooms) of a client in the Hotel BRAINY in Krásno nad Kysucou.

Rates
The prices listed on the site are in euros – all taxes and charges included.
The GRAN hostel reserves the right to change prices. Bookings already confirmed by the hostel are calculated at the rate applicable at the time of booking.

How to handle bookings?
Reservations are accepted for individuals, families or groups of up to eight people for a maximum stay up to 30 consecutive nights.
Each booking will be confirmed by the Hotel Brainy. If not, reservation is not valid. The day of arrival the reservation is valid until 21.00 hour. If arriving late, the customer has to inform the hostel before the end of the reservation.
If the client is too late and this without prior notice, or does not come at all, he is not entitled to a partial refund to compensation.
Every modification or cancellation must be made in writing to the hostel leaders.

Method of payment
Full payment (by credit card/cash) upon arrival at the property.

Using the website
Hotel BRAINY disclaims any liability for any direct or indirect consequences arising from the use of the site by any circumstances, either because of failures, unavailability of information of the Hotel BRAINY or system problems caused by the telecommunications network.
Hotel BRAINY disclaims any liability for any direct or indirect consequences resulting from the incompatibility of the system with those of the client, due to the configuration of the internet connection or if the technical equipment of the customer does not restore the existing data on the site and / or transmit any information related to the customer.
Hotel BRAINY is not liable for any damage resulting in material and / or logistics configuration of the client, as well as data loss by:
– the use of the website;
– the use of electronic means of communication such as e-mail for communication between the client and
Hotel BRAINY;
– errors or viruses on your computer;
– downloading files or programs.

Changes of the general terms and conditions
The terms and conditions may be changed at any time. Before each new transaction, the client has to check the terms and conditions.

Absolute necessity
Hotel BRAINY cannot be held liable under any circumstances for unused bookings as a result of circumstances for which the hostel could neither foresee nor avoid even with the utmost caution.
These circumstances may include, without satisfying completeness: war, threat of war, riots, hostilities, strikes or other trade union actions, natural disasters, fires, terrorist activities, technical problems with public transport, the closure of airports or ports, cancellation of ferry, quarantine, epidemics, weather conditions, government intervention or other circumstances beyond our control.

Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are subject to the grand ducal law. Contentious issues belong to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovakia.

Information and house rules
  • Out of consideration for other guests, the hostel must be quiet from 10.00 p.m. until 6.30 a.m.
  • It is not allowed to smoke in the building. Preparation of meals, as well as consuming alcohol, is not permitted in your room.
  • The possession or consumption of narcotics, as well as any abuse of alcohol or pharmaceuticals are prohibited in the buildings and on the grounds of the hostel.
  • It is not allowed to take food from the breakfast buffet with you.
  • The use of bedding is mandatory.
  • Please do never leave your luggage or other valuables unattended. We decline all responsibility.
  • It is strictly prohibited to invite third parties to the dorms. Access to any dorm is exclusively reserved to guests staying overnight.
  • For all damage caused in our house, please contact the reception desk immediately.
  • Animals are not permitted. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
  • It is not allowed to sell any items or services for its own account or that of a third party.
  • The hostel is committed to environmental protection and nature conservation. Therefore, we ask you to separate waste and to use energy and water responsibly. When leaving the room, please turn off the heating, shut the window and turn off the light.

Your Privacy: Overview
This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) tells you about the information that Hotel BRAINY (“BRAINY,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects in connection with the operation of its website, https://hotelbrainy.com (the “Site”) and all related online services offered by Hotel BRAINY (the “Services”), how the information is used and how you can access and correct certain information that we may collect.
Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to information collected from you by Hotel BRAINY via the Site and/or Services. It does not apply to information obtained or disclosed in offline correspondence, at our brick & mortar locations or through other personal contacts with Hotel BRAINY representatives.
Further, the Site and/or Services may contain links to other entities’ websites that are not controlled or operated by GRAN. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such third party websites, and BRAINY is not responsible for the content of such third party websites or the privacy practices of such third parties. Therefore, we encourage you to request and review the privacy policies of any third parties upon disclosing your information to other parties or visiting any third party websites.

Collection of Your Information
You can access some areas of the Site and/or Services without submitting any personally identifiable information. BRAINY collects personally identifiable information only if you choose to complete the online forms to contact us, complete a profile/register for an account, provide  feedback or to request information or assistance through the Site and/or Services.
The personally identifiable information that BRAINY collects through these portions of the Site includes your name, username, password, email address, and telephone number and any other personally identifiable information that you choose to include in your profile or in your submissions to us. You represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to provide any information provided by you.
BRAINY may also collect certain non-personally identifiable information in connection with the operation of the Site and/or Services, including IP addresses, browser or operating system information, data on advertisements or links on which you click, and the websites that you visit before or after you visit the Site and/or Services. Such information is maintained by BRAINY or service providers acting on behalf of BRAINY. Other users of the Site and/or Services may be able to view your information.

To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy and facilitate the appropriate use of information, BRAINY uses physical, technological and administrative procedures to attempt to protect the personally identifiable information we collect through the Site and/or Services.
Nevertheless, Internet transmissions are never completely private or secure. You understand that any messages or information you send to the Site and/or Services may be read or intercepted by others. In the event that BRAINY is involved in a transaction such as a merger, stock purchase or sale, or sale of substantially all of BRAINY assets, your personal information may be transferred to the other party in such transaction.
BRAINY hostel reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information if required to do so by law or legal process or otherwise requested by any law enforcement officer or agency acting under color of law. In addition, BRAINY reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information based on the good faith belief that such action is necessary or appropriate to:
(a) protect and defend the rights or property of BRAINY, or
(b) act in urgent circumstances to protect the safety or security of the public or of users of the BRAINY hostel’s Site and/or Services.

Cookies
BRAINY may also use cookies to gather information about your visits to our Site and/or Service in order to enhance your experience. A cookie is a small string of information that the website you visit transfers to your computer for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to follow your activity on the Site and that information helps us to understand your preferences and improve your experience with the Site and/or Services. Cookies are also used for such activities as remembering your user name and password, if necessary.

Site uses Google Analytics and other similar services to help analyze how you use the Site and/or Service. These analytic services uses cookies, (as defined in Section above). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site and/or Service is transmitted to the service. This information is then used to evaluate various uses of the Site and Service and to compile statistical reports on Site and Service activity for us, and us alone. We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use these analytics service tools to track or to collect any of your personally identifiable information.

In the event that you submit data to BRAINY through an online survey or poll, our use of such data may be subject to further restrictions. No Spyware or Adware.
We do not install any spyware or adware in connection with our Site/Services, or distribute any commercial message, or authorize any third party to distribute any commercial message, by means of spyware or adware. “Spyware” or “adware” is any software which has been downloaded to or installed on an Internet user’s computer or device, without the user’s actual consent, and facilitates the distribution of any commercial message to the user. If you feel you may have spyware from another company installed on your machine, there are various anti-spyware/adware software applications available on the Internet to identify if this has occurred.

Our Security Practices.
The account information associated with the Site and any of our Services is password protected for your privacy and security. You choose your password for any of our Services so the strength of that password is determined by you. We recommend that you choose a unique password and require that you not share your password with anyone else. In certain areas, we use industry-standard SSL encryption to protect data transmissions.

Retention of Your Personally Identifiable Information
The personally identifiable information that you provide will be stored and maintained by Hotel BRAINY until you instruct us otherwise, or, in BRAINY’s sole discretion, for the longer of:
(a) for so long as is necessary or appropriate to carry out the purpose(s) for which such information was collected and
(b) for so long as we are required to maintain such information by law or other applicable rules or regulations.

Children’s Privacy
BRAINY recognizes the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. The Site and Services are not intended for children under the age of 13. BRAINY does not target its Site and/or Services to children under 13. BRAINY does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a child who we know to be under the age of 13 and for whom we have not received parental consent attempts to utilize the Site or Services, he/she will not be able to access it and may receive a message which relays that he/she is not eligible for such feature.

Choice and Opt-Out Preferences
BRAINY does not collect your personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide it. If, at any time, you prefer not to receive further e mail communications from BRAINY (except in connection with information, products or services that you specifically request), you will have the ability to unsubscribe from such communications by means of a link provided in every broadcast e-mail that is sent to you by BRAINY.

GRAN will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide access to your personally identifiable information if you request such access in writing submitted to: hotelbrainy@gmail.com. BRAINY reserves the right to deny access to your personally identifiable information:
  • when such denial of access is required by law;
  • when granting you access is reasonably likely to negatively impact other people’s privacy;
  • when such access to your acceptance of This Privacy Policy and Revisions to This Privacy Policy is cost prohibitive;
  • when your acceptance of This Privacy Policy and Revisions to This Privacy Policy is necessary to protect BRAINY’s rights and property, and
  • when such requests are frivolous or made in bad faith.

By using the Site and/or Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you may not use the Site and/or Services. BRAINY reserves the right, in our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time, without prior notice to you.
